Bengaluru, Jul 22: Before he committed suicide, deputy superintendent of police, M K Ganapati's last conversation over phone was with his wife, Pavana. This information has emerged during the preliminary investigation of criminal investigation department (CID).
The CID officials also revealed that as per call detail record (CDR), it has become clear that during the one month period before his suicide, Ganapati had not spoken over phone to either minister, K J George, or two IPS officers named by him, Prasad and Pranav Mohanty.
The officials came to know about the officer's last call after they got CDR details. Ganapati called his wife at 2 pm on July 7, and he did not call anyone thereafter, the record shows. However, details of this last conversation are not available except that the husband-wife duo were engaged in conversation for about ten minutes. CID sources said they hope to get these details in the form of a statement from Pavana.
