  • Sanjay Jadhav drew salary for four years, without working a single day

Mumbai, Nov 24 (mb): Sanjay Jadhav, an assistant teacher, was suspended by the chief executive officer of Aurangabad Zilla Parishad (ZP) for not reporting to work for over four years without giving any proper reason. The education department of Aurangabad ZP has also started an inquiry against Jadhav, who is also the Maharashtra president of the Rashtrawadi Teachers’ Association.

State education minister Vasant Purke on a surprise visit to the school found that though Jadhav was drawing salary regularly, he never comes to the school. Purke was told by other staff members that he would come only a day before Diwali and summer vacations to take his salary. Block education officer BK Borude and education extension officer RD Mahajan served show cause notices for not taking any action against Jadhav in the last four years.
