Mangaluru, Aug 2: The much-awaited Tulu film 'Dabak Dabaa Aisa' is all set to hit theatres across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on August 5.
Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday August 2, director and producer of the film Prakash Pandeshwar said, "Dabak Dabaa Aisa will release in 12 theatres and multiplexes across the twin districts. For the first time in the history of Tulu cinema, advance booking for the tickets is happening in big cinemas and shows will be put up for audience in PVR VIP theatre."
"FIR has been lodged against the leakage of the movie. But no proper action has been taken. Only assurances have been given to us. So we request the police department to investigate the case at the earliest." he added.
Naveen D Padil lead actor of the movie said "This is a unique movie with a social message. We have given our best and the movie has come up great."
Rajesh M, music composer of the movie said “There are 4 songs in the film and all have been composed in unique way. The songs have been already been loved by the people and appreciations have come."
The movie will hit theatres of Suchithra, Big cinemas, PVR, Cinepolis in Mangaluru Kalpana in Udupi, Radhika and Planet in Karkal, Inox in Manipal, Bharath in Belthangady, Aruna in Puttur, Nakshatra in BC Road and Amarashri in Moodbidri.
Produced under the banner of Jaya Kirana Films, the movie is the maiden directorial venture of Prakash Pandeshwar. The film has excellent social message besides comedy, tailor-made for the entire family.
Most of the artistes of 'Chaali Polilu' film, which ran for a record 511 days, are acting in this movie too. The brilliant cinematography of Utpal Nayar continues in this film with no compromise in quality.
There are four songs in the film and music CDs are already in demand. Mangaluru's talent Rajesh M Mangaluru has provided the music. Devdas Kapikad, Kadri Navaneet Shetty, Veerendra Shetty Kavoor and Shashiraj Kavoor have composed lyrics for the four songs in the film.
Shashiraj Kavoor has written the dialogue for the film. Photography is by Nayanar and art by Tamma Nayanar.
Prakash Pandeshwar has expressed confidence that the 2 hours 10 minutes long film will provide complete entertainment to the audience.
After 'Chaali Polilu', Devdas Kapikad, Navin D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, and Sundara Rai Mandara will once again been seen together on the screen. Sheetal makes her debut as heroine. Dr Hansraj Alva and journalist Manohar Prasad will also make guest appearances.
Laxman Kumar Malluru, Surendra Bantwal, Girish Shetty Kateelu, Sudhir Raj Urva, Sarojini Shetty, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sathish Bandale, Ravi Suratkal, Shobha Shakthinagar, Sujatha Shakthinagar, Prashanth Konchadi, Sadashivadas, Mohan Koppala, Pushparaj Shetty Kudumburu, Manohar Shetty Surathkal, Yashwanth Shetty Krishnapura, Chetak Poojary, Vinod, Somu Jogatte, Chandrahas Kadri, P B Harish Rai, Naresh Kumar Sasihitlu, Shashidhara Bellayar, Sunil Krishnapura, Pravin Neermarga, Ravindra Shetty Kutthetthooru, Vinay Krishna, Brajesh Garodi, Rajesh Shetty and others are in the film.
Madhu Suratkal is the technical director and Shashiraj Kavoor is the creative director. Ramdas Sasihitlu and Kishore Moodbidri are the assistant directors.
The film has been produced at a cost of Rs 60 lac and shot at a stretch for 21 days in Suratkal, Bondel and Shakthinagar.
