Four injured in attempted Indonesia bombing


Jakarta, Aug 28 (IANS): At least four persons were injured on Sunday when a man carrying bombs attacked a priest in a church in Indonesia's Sumatra island.

"The bombs in his bag failed to detonate but the man took out a knife and attacked the priest," Xinhua news agency quoted a witness as saying.

The incident took place in Santa Yosep church in Medan, the provincial capital of North Sumatra.

The attack injured the priest, the bomber and two persons who tried to stop the attacker. The bomber and two other militants were detained by the police but another two escaped.
