New Delhi, Aug 31 (ENS) : After submitting its report to the Haryana government pertaining to the Robert Vadra land deal case, Justice S.N Dhingra on Wednesday made no bones about the fact that there were irregularities and has brought to light the people behind it. “My mandate was to inquire about irregularities in grant of licenses. I have brought to light the manner in which irregularities were committed and people behind it. If there was no irregularity, then I wouldn’t have submitted a 182-page report,” said Dhingra to a news agency.
He, however, refused to divulge details of the report. “I can’t talk about contents of the report right now, until Govt decides to make the content public. My report is in two parts, one part is findings and the other is evidences,” said Dhingra.
The Justice S.N. Dhingra-led commission, which probed the grant of licences for change in land use (CLU) in four villages of Gurgaon, including the licence granted to a company (Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited) owned by Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress party president Sonia Gandhi, today submitted its report to the Haryana
When asked why Ashok Khemka wasn’t summoned for the probe, he said, “If I wanted to call Ashok Khemka, I would have. I didn’t think it was necessary.”
In the meantime, the Congress slammed the report and accused the Commission of leaking some portions to the media. “Even before submission of report, portions were leaked to the media. This proves that the sole intent is to defame, conspire & malign rather than examine the facts fairly,” said Congress.
Former Haryana chief minister BS Hooda said he hasn’t seen the report, but added that if it has been leaked then it proves it’s nothing but witchunt. “No undue favours were given to anyone, we followed proper policies,” said Hooda.
