Mangaluru, Sep 3: Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary in his address at a press meet here on Saturday September 3, slammed chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Poojary criticized Siddaramaiah for recently instructing an officer to implement the Yettinahole project effectively.
Poojary said “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former chief ministers Veerappa Moily and Sadananda Gowda are intent on making the coastal region a 'Sahara Desert' by implementing the Yettinahole project. CM and former chief ministers think that this is a great achievement on their part. They are of the opinion that they are excelled players at the Olympics, hence they should be honoured the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna. They do not see it as a great blunder either. They have no love for the coastal region. They want this land to be barren,"
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is in the wrong as a result of the conspiracy of the former chief ministers. I am asking him to drop the Yettinahole project for his benefit. There are many rivulets connecting river Nethravati and these rivulets are a breath of life for the river. Without rivulets, the river cannot survive and Siddaramaiah is heading towards killing the river." Poojary added.
Slamming the CM he also said, "Do you think there is no one to question you? After meeting with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at Delhi, chief minister Siddaramaiah addressing the press, said that Sonia and Rahul Gandhi approved the appointments of a chairmen of various boards in the state. At the same time the CM is also telling lies that the party top brass should approve these appointments. Now after having met the AICC president, who is the top brass above Sonia and Rahul Gandhi? Do not tell lies.”
Poojary also added that Sonia Gandhi had demanded a report on the ongoing Yettinahole project from the CM, but he did not give any report.
On questioning why the CM has not yet submitted the report, Poojary said, "The CM is egoistic and he does not pay heed to orders."
