Kundapur, Oct 2: “The allegation from a woman that she was being harassed mentally and sexually by her neighbour Rama is false,” said accused Rama and his wife Mangala in front of the news reporters on Sunday, October 2.
The alleged victim had also said that sub-inspector (SI) Kabbalraj from Kota police station had refused to register her complaint.
Her husband had said that the SI was chit chatting with Rama when he had gone to the police station to lodge the complaint.
As per Rama, he had bought a land belonging to the relatives of Joseph Lazarus. There was an enmity between the owner of the land and Joseph since the beginning. “The enmity has continued with those who bought the land and have tried to lodge a false complaint against them. As SI Kabbalraj was aware of it, he refrained from registering the complaint,” he said.
Rama couple said that they have not seen the face of the woman who has complained in the police station. They have also said that they will be complaining against the family in Udupi women's police station denying the allegations.
