Kanpur: Armed men rob passengers on three trains


Oct 5 (Agencies): A group of armed men robbed passengers on three trains waiting for clearance to leave Kanpur station in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday when most of the passengers were sleeping. Superfast trains, Vaishali Express and the Lokmanya Tilak Express were among the train hit during the heist.

The gang brandishing knives, snatched bags, mobiles and wallets from the passengers. A few passengers have been injured in the incident.

The police have so far been unable to identify the robbers.

    A cartoon appeared in Times of India on robbery in trains in Bihar. Even UP also is not better.

    Passengers in the train are in a relaxed mood, when armed men enter and ask for the valuables. Passengers, smilingly tell them "Are you new to Bihar ? Train is now 100 km inside Bihar and we have been already robbed".
