Mangalore: St Agnes to Host Assembly of NCRWI from Dec 29

Mangalore, Dec 25: St Agnes College here will host the 45th Sectional Assembly of the National Conference of Religious Women of India (NCRWI) from Saturday December 29 to Tuesday January 1, informed a press release.

The theme of the assembly would be 'Prophetic Mysticism - The Call of Empowered Religious Women.' For the assembly around 400 major superiors, superior general and provincial superiors from all parts of the country would be congregating for the first time in the city.

The resource person on the occasion would be Kathleen Coyle, Marianela Renewal Centre, Dublin, Ireland who will be presenting a paper relating to the theme of the conference. Coyle will be assisted by Inana Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pontifical Institute of Philosophy and Religion and Pune faculty member of Theology, Evelyn Monteiro.

Bishop Fr Aloysius Paul D'Souza will inaugurate the programme on December 29 at 8 am. President of Conference of Religious India (CRI) Fr Antony Kariyil, CRI national secretary Bro Mani Mekkunnel, Conference of Religious Karnataka (CRK) president - Fr Xavier Manavath and St Sebastian Church, Bendoor parish priest Fr Peter Noronha will be the chief guests, stated the release.
