M'lore: Symposium on Challenges in Healthcare Management

Mangalore, Dec 26: The Yenepoya Group will organise a one-day international symposium on 'Challenges in Healthcare Management' in association with AOC International, UK at the conference hall of the institution on Wednesday, January 2.

The purpose of the symposium is to explore the various dimension of healthcare management, informed Dr Mohammad Thahir, director (medical) of Yenepoya Medical Hospital, Kodialbail, while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday December 26.

Healthcare management industry has seen exponential growth both at the global and domestic level. The symposium is aimed at guiding the participants to trade skills, he said

Eminent speakers in the field from the UK and India will make presentations at the symposium. About 150 to 200 medical practitioners will participate and students from management studies are also expected to attend. The registration fee will be Rs 500 for medical practitioners and Rs 250  for students, he added.

The symposium takes up various aspects of emerging (new) diseases and re-emerging (old) diseases. Making the best use of medical tourism in order to serve the Indian society as well as  people living abroad better will also be debated at the symposium, Dr R N Sujeer, principal and professor of Surgery, Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte added.

Yenepoya Abdulla Javeed, director of Yenepoya Group was also present at the press conference.
