Mangalore: Two-day Training Programme on Electrical Safety Held

Mangalore, Dec 27: The state chapter of National Safety Council (NSC) in collaboration with the Mangalore Action Centre held a two-day specialized training programme on 'Electrical Safety' at hotel Moti Mahal here recently.

In his presidential address NSC co-ordinator K Balakrishna spoke on the neeed for increasing electrical energy generation capacity so as to achieve the targeted growth of GDP of the nation.

In his speech Balakrishna opined that the training programmes on electrical safety will not only improve and conserve energy but also be a safeguard for people's lives.

In this context he said the electrical equipment should be of the highest quality and standard, so that the common man can use it safely and with efficiency.

In all a total of 61 delegates from different industries and organizations participated in the ten technical sessions at the training programmes.

Present on the occasion were city airport director M R Vasudev, Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MRPL) manager (safety) S Narasimha Murthy and BASF India Limited manager (environment and safety) Gopalkrishna.
