Most of our Indian politicians are uneducated and ignorant. The only way they can win an election is to instill communal hatred among our brothers and sisters. Illegal transportation of cattle is just a ploy to add fuel to the fire.

We the Mangaloreans need to get rid of politicians who try to divide us. We also need to elect politicians who will encourage us to work together for the common good and set Mangalore as a good example of compassion and solidarity.

I totally agree with the idea of opening a seperate slaughter house somewhere in the outskirts of the city. This will definitely prevent illegal cow trafficking and thus avoid communal clashes. But, I don't agree with the others for solely blaming the Sangh Parivar outfits, because, within a span of 2 weeks, many Hindus in BC road have been targeted by Muslims and Hindus had kept their cool all these days.

In one of my previous comment I had suggested opening a slaughter house in a non-residential locality purely based on sanitation. This is by accepting the following things: 1. Whether Hindus like it or not, they cannot prevent Muslims' inclusion of beef in thier diet. 2. As a consequence, slaughter of cattle is necessary. The proposed slaugther house should enable anybody with legal possession of cattle to get beef for consumption.

Slaughter of cows believed as holy has been continuing in India for ages. Regardless of their religious beliefs, as cows grew old, people disposed them off for slaughter. So all of a sudden slaughter of cows cannot be an issue. But illegal slaughter of stolen cows is a real issue as that not only affects an individual's finances, but also, poses serious health problems especially considering the ever-increasing population of Mangalore.

Please understand that slaughter of any animal for that matter under un-sanitized condition is a real health problem.

Illegal cow slaughter should be stopped yes I beleive so. But this message is sent to the illiterate /unemployed youth [by our selfish politicians] in a way that will only benefit their votebank and that is by creating violence.Ask any educated Hindu and im sure he wouldnt say yes to violence.

Communal Political Parties should be banned, for playing the religion card.these political parties should use their resources to educate these youth who would be beneficial to the country and not for any corrupt politician.

Sadly India cannot boast of many educated politicians. [other than dacoits/thugs etc.].

In ancient India, during Epic Ramayana & Mahabharata to please the saints & to avoid curse from them, kings had served young bull. In Bagavdgeeta Lord Krishna says killing animals for food is not sin but mere killing for fun/enjoyment is sin.

Before Aryans come most of people consume beef for food. After the arrival of Aryans they had altered the holy book for their benefits since cattle is the only way of earning bread for their living. They had made holy book in Sanskrit which are nor reachable to common man since most of people are illiterates & even educated men can’t follow them because of its rigidity.

Dear Mr.Siva & Raj, India is among a few countries which gives its citizens to propogate, follow and live as per thier religion and it is a democratic country not a Hindu or Muslim or Chiristian country, hence it is not right to forcibly implement something which I dont like.

If Muslims dislike pork means they cannot force Christians or Hindus to stop eating pork and beef is permissible under vedas and upanishads ( if you ever read this holy scriptures, this is the main reason of ignorance) and may be percentage of vegies (specially beef haters)are less than 1% and it is only political gimick to gain votes.

Friends, Don't brush this aside as 'Sangh' parivar issue or BJP issue. It is a real issue hurting Hindus. Several years in the past Hindus made peaceful pleas to stop illegal cow-slaughter and illegal sale of beef. Many times this does not get reported or reported like a also-there kind of news - people forget it and authorities forget. That is most unfortunate-

Now when some people take action (So called taking law in hand) everything becomes news and every body is giving attention. This is wrong type of attention-this only creates animosity. I urge all people to open the eyes and see the real problem - at least 100 times more cattles are cut under un-hygenic and illegal ways in mobile vans, huts and make-shift stalls.

This is hurting Hindu community sentiments. So by saying this is politics you are neither seeing the problem - so no one attends to it and the problem grows. Now saying that BJP is behind this you are only you are unwittingly implying that Hindu sentiments are only respected by BJP. This only works for the advantage of BJP. Instead of that if administration takes strict actions against illegal cow-slaughter and Muslims and Christians stop abetting illegal beef vending, no political party will be able to take advantage!!

Sang Parivar wants to bring BJP to power in Karnataka. They have already brainwashed the secular Hindus and are very successful. They want to make Karnataka their stronghold in the south. Beef and cattle are only excuses. We pray to God to save us from these fanatics. I do not see any hope for the secular forces. Karnataka will become worse than Orissa, where Christians are being targeted by the Hindu fanatics. Lord save us from these fanatic thugs!
