Mangalore: 'Deshabhakthi Sandesha Yathre' Campaign Begins

Mangalore, Jan 2: 'Deshabhakthi sandesha yathre' campaign is being organized from January 2 to 12, by the Akhil Bharatha Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) to commemorate the 150th year of the First War of Indian Independence and the birth centenary of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
 
This information was furnished by Dr U S Krishna Nayak president of Deshabhakti Sandesha Yathre Welcome Committee in a press meet here on Tuesday, Jan 1, 08. Addressing media persons he said the 'Deshabhakthi sandesha yathre' will be held in the Mangalore University jurisdiction.
 
It will be inaugurated in Madikeri on January 2.  ABVP (South) Secretary K S Raghunandan will be flagging of this campaign, he added.  Later the yathre will pass through 45 centres across Kodagu, Udupi and DK districts.
 
The valedictory of the yathre will be held at Central Maidan in the city on January, 12 and it will be addressed by ABVP National joint secretary B Surendran. N Vinay Hegde, chairman of the Nitte Education Trust will be the chief guest.
 
More than 10,000 students will take out a procession prior to the valedictory. The procession would start from four different parts of the city including Kudroli temple, PVS circle, Bunts hostel circle and Platinum theatre at a time, Nayak informed.

    This is a part of VHP Group. Why included only Bhagat Singh? First War of Indian Independence has participated in by people from all religions. Pls announce their names also.
