Mangalore, Jan 3: The fisherwomen must organize themselves and make use of all the benefits provided to them by the government, said Sushma Janardhan, former president, DK zilla panchayat at the ZP conference hall here on Wednesday January 2.

Speaking at the information programme organized by DK ZP fisheries department for coastal fisherwomen, she said that the fisherwomen must know the various aspects of the projects executed under the fisheries department.

Speaking on the occasion, A M Kunjappa, CEO, DKZP said that all the fisherwomen should improve their standard of living by availing the various benefits provided by the government. They must gather all the necessary details during the information programme, he added.

Pramod Kumar, member, DKZP said that only through technological and scientific support, the fisherwomen can progress in their profession.

Krishna Shetty Kadaba, DKZP agriculture and industry standing committee president and K Sunder Salian were present at the international programme.
