Mumbai, Jan 11: Back in town after her Europe sojourn, Shilpa Shetty, keeping with her newfound image of an ambassador of Indian values and traditions offshore, will soon essay the role of goddess Sita in an international venture.
Shilpa landed in the tinsel town after her much talked about three-month tour to Europe.
Last seen in Anurag Basu's hit flick Life In a Metro, Shilpa would now feature in an international venture Hanuman being produced by US-based Uru Patel. She would be portraying goddess Sita in the film, revealed Dale Bhagwagar, Shilpa's publicist, in a press statement.
This week, Shilpa also released a fitness DVD called Shilpa's Yoga in Britain and Dubai.
After having launched her perfume S2, Shilpa now plans to release a cookery book, which she has tentatively titled Soul Curry.
"Her perfume topped the sales charts soon after its release in Britain and hopefully her recipes will also turn out to be a bestseller. Everything, that Shilpa does abroad always has an Indian touch and feel to it," said the release.
The launch of a signature clothing line in Europe is also in the pipeline for the actor who shot to international fame after her victory at Britain's reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.
Recently Shilpa has been busy with her musical play Miss Bollywood. She has staged more than 50 shows spanning 16 cities that included Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Britain.
"The year 2007 catapulted Brand Shilpa to international fame. This year could be as promising."
Towards the end of 2007, Shilpa hogged the limelight for having admitted her relationship with London-based businessman Raj Kundra.
