Mangalore, Jan 13: 240th 'Wilfy Nite' by the popular Konkani singer, Wilfy Rebimbus was staged at St Aloysius College open grounds, on Sunday, January 13, drew large number of Konkani music lovers from all over the town.  It was a musical extravaganza organized by 'Dirvem' Konkani weekly, to mobilize funds for popularizing Konkani journalism across the world, to render social service for the betterment of economically weaker community brethrens and in order to sponsor studies of talented among them.  'Dirvem' has been driven by ambitious plans to make new strides in the era of IT and globalization.

Wilfy has been a living legend of Konkani as that of Latha Mangeshkar from Bollywood, while both of them, despite of their age still hold the audience wanting to listen more.  That seems to be the charisma of both gifted singers in their respective sphere.  They have proved that music has no bounds and barriers, whatsoever.
