Bantwal, Dec 3: Great Prabhat Circus, known to be the only circus company from Karnataka with a history dating back to 78 years, began its performances in the town with the show starting at 7 pm on Friday December 2.
In the absence of district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai, who was expected to inaugurate the show, local municipal president, Ramakrishna Alva, inaugurated the performance on Friday at 7 pm.
Taluk panchayat president, Chandrahas Karkera, zilla panchayat member, Chandraprakash Shetty, Land Development Bank president, Sudarsha Jain, taluk panchayat vice president, Abbas Ali, municipal councillors, Chanchalakshi, Vasanti Chandappa, Prabha Salian,J acinta, and others were present.
The circus, which is known for breathtaking adventures and well-trained elephants, put up a very entertaining show before the audience. The circus, which has over 150 performers and several animals in its team, plans to hold the people spellbound with items like globe riding, flying trapeze, motor bike jumping, sky walk etc. The circus plans to be here for 40 days during which shows will be held at 1, 4, and 7 pm.
