Kundapur, Jan 23: The state-wide lorry strike against the government order to install speed governors in commericial lorries received overwhelming response here on Tuesday January 22.
Nearly five lac transport vehicles stopped plying across the state and the federation of Karnataka Lorry Owners and Agents Associations which called for the strike was pleased to state that the peaceful strike was a grand success as they were able to garner all-round support from the general public.
The office-bearers of Kundapur taluk lorry-owners association Basha Saheb, Haroon Saheb, Rajesh, Mohandas and others participated in the protest staged near the junction at Shastri Park here.
