Rs 40 lakh in cash showered on folk singers at Gujarat function

Ahmedabad, Dec 27 (DHNS): People may be struggling to get hold of currency notes post demonetisation, but a shocking video showing notes worth Rs 40 lakh being showered on folk singers in Gujarat has come to light.

According to information available, the event was organised by the Shri Gurjar Kshatriya Kadia Samaj in Navsari district of South Gujarat. Several men and women were seen showering notes of varying denominations on folk singers Farida Mir and Mayabhai Ahir, in appreciation.

The programme that lasted for over a couple of hours apparently saw the organisers collect roughly Rs 40 lakh in cash from the stage on which the singers were seated.

This is the fourth such incident after the Modi government demonetised high value notes and imposed restrictions on withdrawal of cash. In the first week of December, newly introduced Rs 2000 denomination currency notes were showered on folk singer Kirtidan Gadhavi when he was performing at Mukteshwar Mahadev temple near Palanpur town in North Gujarat district of Banaskantha. Similar incidents have also been reported from Amreli in Saurashtra region.

Though the money collected at the show are used primarily for social causes, the recurrence of such incidents leaves one wondering how people and organisers of such events have so much cash at their disposal when the government has severely restricted cash withdrawals.

So far most of the I-T raids have been in non-BJP ruled states. The I-T department seems to be scared of poking its nose in the BJP states and face the Centre's wrath.

There was gathering of more than four thousand people there.
Even if half of the people throw One 2000 rs note on the singer, organizers get 40 lakh rupees.

What is the article writer concerned about? Showering money on singers ? or throwing 2000 rs notes on singers?

When it comes to demonetisation BJP leaders daughter's wedding, political rallies or live entertainment have no impact.

This does prove that Demonetisation complete secret but well informed within the BJP and RSS circle.

Many incidents of new currency getting caught & now showered shows One Particular Party has no Fund Crunch, but rather has benefited at the expense of 94% of people.
The reason other parties protesting is the same, election in UP & Punjab seems to be the main cause for the drastic step than welfare of the nation most likely as proven by the above incidents.
