Panaji, Feb 14: Cupid's arrows flew in all directions in the city on Thursday February 14 with young people flocking the brightly decorated shops to pick aptly worded greeting cards and gifts for their loved ones.

Valentine's Day was not just an occasion to present gifts but also to spend quality time together relaxing in the serene, tranquil corners of the city like banks of the river Mandovi and whispering sweet nothings to each other.

With youngsters crowding the gift shops, it was literally a 'red' letter day for businesses too as cuddly items and other paraphernalia painted in shades of red kept disappearing from the shelves.

Yes. I agree with Lancelot N Tauro's comments. I am in sixties enjoys Cupid's day though it was unknown to me when I was a teenager. It is our duty to give youngsters morale support.

We dont need a special occasion to express our love to our near ones. This is nothing but artificial. Every moment in our life should be a valentines day.
