Margao, Feb 16: Maina Curtorim police on Friday February 15 intensified the patrolling system at Loutulim-Goa, 14 Km from here, following incidents of stone pelting on North Indian migrant workers.

According to Maina Curtorim police station, one of the officials from Chowgule Ship building Ltd, has lodged complaint that some unknown persons pelted stones on their workers.  He has therefore asked for additional security measures from the Maina Curtorim police.

In this regard when asked South Goa Superintendent of Police Shekhar Prabhudesai said that the incident has nothing to do with anti-north Indian campaign which is gaining momentum in Mumbai.

According to sources youth using motorbikes came near the said ship building company and hurled stones on North Indian workers and fled the place immediately.

Now these workers have altered their timing and leave the company on time, rather than availing benefits of overtime.
