Mangaluru, Feb 7: AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mangaluru team bagged the overall championship in RGUHS Weightlifting and Bodybuilding competition held on January 24 and 25 at JJM Medical College Davangere.
Pavan L won the gold medal in the 56 kg weightlifting category. Amar Raj and Abhiraj bagged the gold and silver medals in the 69 kg category respectively. Prateek Dinakar won the silver medal under the 77 kg category. Abhiraj bagged the gold medal in the under 65 Kg category bodybuilding competition.
The dean Dr Ashok Hedge and vice-dean Dr P P Devan congratulated the team and the director of physical education Harish Gowda.
