Shocking incident, most of these type of incidents and accidents are not brought to public, innocent laborers are put into work with out safety in place at the work site. Personal Protective equipment ( PPE ) should be made compulsory by the govening bodies.

NGO's should involve in this regard and try to regulate this issue with the concerned. We hope these poor employees will be saved from unforseen hazards by looding their lives at their work sites if safety is in place.

Many of the contractors are not following the Health and Safety standards. Its better to make them aware about the HSE (Health & Safety Executive). Standards should be followed strictly without any compromise and all the construction operatives should be given training on the Health & Safety aspects.

Also, they should be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipments). Government organisations should insist the contractors to follow these standards with good quality training, PPEs, display boards, medical facilities, etc. Then only these types of hazards / accidents can be minimised.

I suspect these labourers digging Chua boring(It is just like how a rat digs tunnel), which is very dangerous and inhuman activity. Contractors normally force labourers to do this activity while the Clients(Governement) is blindly watching.
