Mangaluru: 'Research Methodology' workshop held at Vikas PU College

Mangaluru, Feb 16: Get Smart Mangaluru in association with Vikas PU College organized a one day workshop on 'Research Methodology', on February 16 at Vikas PU College,
here.

Chief guest Krishna J Palemar, former minister and chairman of Vikas Education Trust motivated the gathering. “Vikas has progressed at a very fast pace and has always involved itself in various social and society beneficial programmes. The purpose of the research is to solve problems faced by mankind.”

Guest of honour Dr Animesh Jain, HOD, department of community medicine, KMC; Srisha Pandit, Doral IT Solutions; Dr Suphala S Kotian, director of Get Smart; Dr Ananth Prabhu G, director of Vikas Edu Solutions; Manjula A Rao, co-director of Get Smart; T Rajaram Rao, principal of Vikas PU College were the dignitaries on the dais.

The resource person Dr Animesh Jain, HOD, department of community medicine, KMC delivered a lecture on research design. Associate professors of department of community medicine, KMC M S Kotian and Dr Sheethal Ullal spoke on sample size and test of significance and ethics in research. Dr Nithin Kumar dwelt on bibliography. The session ended with an evaluation and feedback. Post graduate students from various colleges in and around the city participated in the workshop and were very happy with the sessions conducted.

Kumari Preeksha was master of ceremony and the gathering was Welcomed by T Rajaram Rao. Dr Suphala S Kotian delivered the keynote address and vote of thanks was rendered by Manjula A Rao.
