Man held for murdering friend in Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 20 (IANS): A man has been arrested for stabbing his friend to death in the capital, police said on Monday.

Ved Prakash stabbed Birju, 28, after a heated row on Sunday night in west Delhi's Sultanpur area.

Ved Prakash and Birju, who were earlier involved in a case of Arms Act, were consuming alcohol with six friends.

"When they reached the railway tracks at Sultanpur, Ved Prakash and Birju had an argument which turned into a fight," Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishipal said.

Prakash attacked Birju with a knife over a dozen times. Prakash was taken into custody from a friend's house on Monday.
