Bengaluru: Horrified family watches as killers hack rowdy sheeter to death

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 9: In a ghastly incident which happened at Kamalanagar in the city on Wednesday March 8 morning, ruffians hacked to death a rowdy sheeter named Sunil (24) by bringing down their machetes and swords repeatedly on him indiscriminately, even as the shaken family members of Sunil looked on helplessly. The incident was caught on mobile phone, and the murder which happened in broad daylight and which speaks volumes about the law and order situation prevailing here now, has sent shivers down the spines of the people of the city.

Sunil was loitering in the vicinity of his house at around 8.45 am on Wednesday. It appeared that the people who wanted to kill him were waiting for a chance to corner him when alone. A gang of rowdies suddenly chased him. Sunil, who sensed danger to his life, ran for cover, entered a house on Chandrappa Road and bolted the door from inside. The rowdies reached there and knocked at the door. As the door was not opened, they broke the door open, dragged Sunil out, put him on the road and attacked him with swords and machetes. Sunil, who was injured in his head and almost all the body parts, died on the spot.

Sunil's mother, Usha (45), who came to know about the attack, rushed to save her son by blocking the attackers. Efforts made by her and another local to stop the gang from executing the murder plan failed to stop the murderers.

People who were using the road including students, children, locals and others were taken aback at this murder which happened in broad daylight. A local captured the development in his cellphone, and this might help the police to nail the culprits. The video footage, it is said, clearly shows the war cries of the attackers and their faces. Police personnel, who have registered a case, have been searching for the accused.

It is gathered that Sunil was facing a murder attempt registered against him last year. It is said that Sunil had tried to murder another rowdy sheeter named Naga. Naga survived with serious injuries and thereafter reportedly Sunil used to deride him whenever he came across Naga. It is said that he also used to threaten to eliminate Naga. Policemen therefore have reason to believe that Naga's associates might have executed this murder.

Sunil was also identified with a gang which had tried robbery this year. A rowdy sheet in his named had been created in Basaveshwarnagar police station here. He had been released from jail just ten days back.

The efforts of the police in silencing the rowdies even by firing at them occasionally have failed to make much headway. Although the city police had fired thrice at mischief mongers in a week's time, the rowdies do not seem to care. Anuchet, deputy commissioner of police (north) here, said that Sunil was hacked to death because of pre-existing enmity and that the police have definite clues about the killers. He expressed confidence of arresting the culprits soon.

Couldn't care less about these so called rowdy sheeters. Better for normal people if all these people cease to exist.

Very professional job by the killers! This shows 'determination with proper planing & will power always gives fruitful results!!!

Earlier Sunil tried to kill Naga but left him half dead, which is more dangerous and he paid with his life!

If you wann do something, do it with full conviction or else don't do it!!! OK

Video footage will not considered at Indian court as an evidence.
Our courts wants witness to come to court and identify murderers even there is enough proof in video.
who wants to risk his life and come to court and witness for Rowdy sheeter,
you don't now what they will do to the witness-man once immediately they come out on bail (bails are easily available for murderers, not for ordinary crimes)

"Those who live by violence/gun/sword will meet their end accordingly" That's true.
No regret but Police/law of the land must act appropriately, so that others take as a lesson.

Porbule, even if Siddhu was awake, how would he know, what is running in your mind? He is not a mind reader and can not tell/imagine what you are going to do next minute/hour.

Lot of murders/rapes happened during Yeddi rule & he was awake 24x7... why didn't he stop then?

This is the outcome of our failed Justice system. This is expected and will continue. People will start taking justice in their own hands when our system fails. The police should not waste time behind attacks on history-sheeters and their murder. Case should be closed with existing enemity between rival gangs. This will be a good indication to people who indulge in rowdism, looting hard working people.
