Mangaluru, Mar 13: Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management in association with Laxmi Memorial College of Hotel Management celebrated their 25th annual day and graduation ceremony to commemorate the silver jubilee year at Moti Mahal Convention Hall at Hotel Moti Mahal on March 11.

J R Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru south constituency was the chief guest and Prof Lokesh K M, registrar, Mangalore University was the guest of honour. Prashanth Shetty, vice-president of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust presided over the function. Ashritha P Shetty, director, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust and principals of both the colleges of hotel management were present on the dais.

The program was started with a prayer song by first year students followed by the lighting of the lamp. The college annual report was read by principal, Terence F Rodriguess and Prasanna Shetty which traced the long strides and significant progress made during the last year. J R Lobo unveiled the 25th year logo. It was announced that the college will conduct events every month to celebrate the silver jubilee. A presentation about the journey of 25 years of Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management was made on the occasion. Prof lokesh K M released the souvenir of alumni association. The cultural programme presented by the students enthralled each and every one present in the auditorium.

Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management was started in the year 1992 under the Laxmi Memorial Education Trust. Dr A J Shetty, president of the trust with a vision 'providing the corporate sector with professionally sound and dynamic professionals in hotel industry who have a vision and ability to meet the challenges of the present day' started the college.
