Bahrain: Arson Attack on Farm in Karzakan

Gulf Daily News

Manama, Mar 8: More than 30 masked men attacked and set fire to a farm in Karzakan yesterday. The attackers set ablaze the majlis, a bookcase, three vehicles, a horse cart and the stable after breaking in through the main gate at 12.30am.

Asian workers at the farm managed to jump through a window and escape. They put out the fire before it gutted the stable.

The farm belongs to Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Ateyatala Al Khalifa, who said the farm has been targeted by rioters since 2002 and described the attack as a dangerous escalation.
