President greets Greece on its Independence Day

New Delhi, Mar 25 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday extended his greetings to the people of Greece on their Independence Day.

"Warm greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the Hellenic Republic (official name of Greece) on their Independence Day," Mukherjee tweeted.A

Greece, a country in southeastern Europe celebrates Independence Day on March 25 in honour of the country freedom from the Ottoman Empire rule in the 19th century.
