Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Mar 13: Immigration officers at Bajpe international airport arrested a passenger on Wednesday March 12, while he was attempting to go to Dubai using a duplicate (forged) passport.

Shivaram Nayak (38), a resident of Koombettu village in Bantwal taluk was arrested by immigration officers when he was trying to check-in at Bajpe airport, to board the Air India Express (AIE) flight scheduled to leave for Dubai.  Shivram had actually produced the passport of one Prakash Nayak.  It was a case of impersonation on the part of arrested gulf-bound Shivaram Nayak.

Bajpe police have registered case in this regard and have already produced Shivaram Nayak in the court.

This is the third case of passenger trying to board gulf-bound flight using forged passport, at Bajpe airport, this year, said sources.

People come to Gulf to earn their bread and to provide better living condition to their dependence. But taking a fast track in illegal way is not an excuse. Well done Mangalore Immigration Authorities. Congratulations.
