Abu Dhabi - Mar 15: Sara Nursery – the distinguished Nursery School in Abu Dhabi held its Annual Day on Friday 14 March 2008 at the Sudanese Club Premises.
The programme was attended by large number of parents, well wishers and distinguished guests.
Dr. B. R. Shetty – CEO and Managing Director of New Medical Group of Companies (NMC) was the Chief Guest.
The glittering programme commenced with the welcome song by the tiny tots followed by a stunning welcome speech by Gian D’Mello, who is barely 3 years old who stole the hearts of the audience with her eloquent best.
This was followed by songs, dances and skits performed the tiny tots, which was amazing and a visual treat. Enormous effort by the teachers and the supporting staff was behind the brilliant performance by the students.
A grand rendition of song by the tiny tots dedicated to their parents thanking them for taking good care was praiseworthy.
The programme included action songs, dance depicting variety of themes was brilliantly presented, taking into consideration the age of these little angels who were barely below three years, which was applauded by the audience.
The event was compered by Mrs. Lalitha Vishwanathan, who did her part brilliantly and was responsible for keeping the show going smoothly.
In her speech Debbie Swyney – the Head Mistress of the School thanked her talented teachers, the well wishers and school management for their support and assistance in nurturing the young angels.
She specially thanked the school Sponsor Abdulla Haj for his constant support and Dr. B. R. Shetty, Joseph Pinto and R. S. Alva for their help,suggestions, assistance and guidance all the time.
She explained the activities of the school which include art and craft, music, play dough blocks, outdoor activities, story time and tidy-up time. They have also regular interaction between parents and teachers and welcome any suggestions to maintain cordial relationship between teachers and parents. The children are rewarded for their good behavior and trained for proper eating habits, cleanliness, etiquette, table manners and high standard of hygiene.
She also informed that the school is open for all nationalities, irrespective of cultural backgrounds. They too have a day care centre for the convenience of working mothers from 2.30 pm. To 7 p.m. where the children are being looked after with love and care.
The school commenced its operation under the new management in 2005, which was formerly under the care of ILA and due to new Ministry regulations started to operate independently. The school currently has 425 students with 31 teachers and support staff.
In his presidential speech Dr. B. R. Shetty applauded the efforts of the teachers and parents, for their efforts in molding the tiny tots. He also informed that the School Management has plans to expand the school and move to a better premises.
The programme concluded with a grand finale of the song ‘Thank you for coming’ followed by the Naional Anthems.
The School management and teachers must be applauded for this brilliant and colourful show, which was an astounding success.
