Bengaluru, Apr 10: In an incident which happened at Saudamini marriage hall in the city on the night of Saturday April 10, a groom got angry after getting information that food was short in supply at a function connected with his marriage. He decided to end the relationship then and there, threw away his garland, and walked out.

The groom from Yadalammanagara in Subrhamanyapura was to marry the girl from Kanakapura at the above hall. An engagement ceremony was held six weeks back. The alliance had been finalized after both the families discussed the issues and matched the horoscopes. The marriage was scheduled to be held on Sunday, and during the period reception function was in progress on Saturday night, the groom got information from his close ones that food was exhausted.

The groom, who felt that this had undermined his and his family's importance, threw away his garland and walked out. Although the bride's relatives tried to convince him, they failed in their task, policemen stated. In the midst of efforts to strike a compromise between the two sides, the issue was referred to Konanakunta police station. Even as the police personnel brought together leaders from both sides and were holding a dialogue, the bride thought it was the question of her self respect. She stuck to the stand that she would not marry a person who created a scene just because rice which could have been prepared within a few minutes, had been exhausted.

The police let both the sides to go away after getting bonds executed to the affect that they will not fight over this issue henceforth, and that both sides will not indulge in friction with each other.

I think bride has made the right decision.when in front of so many people he made a scene because of food,in future too he would make her responsible for life long and harass her.I should congratulate her.Even he would insult her parents.he had only his food in head, not what he would create a scene and schande to bride.Be humble .who will pay for the all food and other preparations.?

This is truly good luck for the bride
No use living life with such characters who value their ego more than human kindness
She will surely get a good husband
