Squall on Saturday evening in Delhi


New Delhi, April 22 (IANS): A duststorm with squally winds exceeding 40 kmph (kilometre per hour) brought relief to Delhiites after a hot and sunny Saturday morning here.

"The evening ahead will remain partly cloudy and the temperature is expected to decline," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

Till now, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 28.9 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 40.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was 28.9 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average.
