Mangalore: Police Arrest Prime Accused in Lancy Murder Case

Mangalore, Mar 25: The policemen led by Ullal inspector Jayant V Shetty, were successful in nabbing two prime accused in Lancy D’Souza's murder case on Monday March 24. 

The arrested are identified as Mohammed Fayaz (20), son of Abubakkar, resident of Kumpala Yatimkhana and Mohammed Hanif (20), son of Ummarabba, resident of K C Road Kumarangala.  The policemen also recovered a motor cycle from them which they stolen from Cochin.

Both the prime accused Mohammed Fayaz and Mohammed Hanif, along with another accused, Rizwan had fled the place after the murder.

During the interrogation they revealed that after fleeing from the spot, they came to Pumpwell and boarded an ore-laden truck and reached Tumkur. On the way, they sold the mobile which they had stolen from Lancy to the truck driver for Rs 2,700.  From there Rizwan went to Chennai while Fayaz and Hanif reached Cochin.  While Rizwan was arrested in a bar at Kuttar after he returned from Chennai, Fayaz and Hanif were nabbed by police on Monday after they reached the district.

With their arrest, police have almost nabbed everyone involved in Lancy's murder case.
