Ex-army man's wife sends 56-inch blouse to Narendra Modi

Fatehabad, May 12 (PTI): A former soldier's wife, shaken by recent attacks on Indian troops by Pakistan, has sent a 56-inch blouse to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an apparent reference to claims that he had a 56-inch chest, largely seen as a symbol of courage.

In a letter to the prime minister, Suman Singh, wife of ex-armyman Dharamvir Singh, reminded Modi that the Bharatiya Janata Party had before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls claimed if it came to power, Pakistan would not "dare" attack Indian soldiers.

"But the situation is even worse now," she wrote.

Her husband told reporters here that the letter addressed to the Prime Minister, along with the blouse, had been submitted to the Zila Sainik Board in Fatehabad.

Dharamvir, who claimed he was a former district observer of the Aam Aadmi Party, said he had served in the Army from December 1991 to 2007 and retired as a havaldar. Being an ex-army man's wife, he said, Suman had expressed anguish at the recent spate of killings.

"She told me that women send their sons, brothers, husbands to the border to defend their motherland and not to get beheaded and get pelted with stones. Where has the 56-inch chest gone now, she asked," the Fatehabad resident said.

The ex-serviceman was asked if the gesture could be seen as an insult to the office of the prime minister.
"You tell me one thing -- are we not being insulted? Our prime minister used to say never ever will our soldiers have to go through what they went through before. But what is happening under the present regime is even worse," he said.

Suman wrote in her letter that videos had surfaced "in which our soldiers are seen being slapped, humiliated and pelted with stones". Two soldiers were beheaded by Pakistan, she wrote.

She referred to Lance Naik Hemraj, who was beheaded by Pakistan’s Border Action Team in January, 2013.

"At the time of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, we felt that no more of our soldiers will be beheaded like Hemraj and enemy will think ten times before doing such action, but they have been repeated," the letter said.

She urged the PM to give the Army a "free hand" to tackle the situation on the border.

"The way the hands of our soldiers are tied they are unable to take the situation head on, which is most unfortunate," she wrote.

Dharamvir said he was deployed in Jammu and Kashmir for over 11 years.

"I was part of several counter insurgency operations. I also got the Sena Medal from the President on two occasions. My son is also preparing to join the forces," he said.

What an idea Madamjiii? That would be a perfect gift for FEKUgiri !!!

and.... our feku bhakth channels like Arnob Tv, Chee Tv etc.., instead of debating on FEKU's promises and failures, they still debate on Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi !
For feku channels Kejriwal (who is a CM of a small state in India called Delhi), Mamta Benerjee, Siddaramayya are important than PMs failure !!
If they don't have anything to discuss about non-BJP leaders, they debate on Dawood Ibrahim's diabetes, gangrene!!!

Actually, the channels got contract from FEKU company to keep up the tempo called "Modi wave". They don't want FEKU get exposed at any cost and citizens of the nation to have bad impression on him. Once FEKUs 'real achievements' understood by citizens, then, his story becomes history.

Let us confess first that we have made a grave mistake in the year 2014 so have to tolerate it's I'll effects for another two years.
There is difference between educated experienced administrator and politician.Adminstrstor can't become politician or politician can't become administrator.Like highly intellect like Nilekani can't become a politician. A person like late PM Narasimha Rao is rarely seen.He had qualities of a true stataman. So Atalji too. They too are good speakers but had maturity and wright. They never mocked any individuals nor done gimmicks, comics etc.
People felt differences of late Morarjeebhai,'s and Atalji's administration ...immediately they took charge..though never promised achhe din.Now it is quite reverse.True achhe din abhee baaki hai...

As of now PM has let down the country when it comes to tackling Pakistan... PM should understand India cannot tolerate anymore on Pakistan issue...

PM has 2 options keep silent on Pakistan issue or Bomb Pakistan into stone age.. We shouldn't care about human rights anymore in Pakistan and Kashmir... Need to use the real guns and not the rubber bullets one...

Sikh regiment is planning something big for Pakistan, but when the action will occur is unknown

The Guru, eventually, step by step people will realize how they have been fooled by politicians to gain vote. Finally, you have shown your anguish towards the way Pakistan issue has been handled. There is no other way but to bombard hear of Pakistan and tame these animals. We do not need surgical strikes, but a full pledge attack directly on Porki militiary base. Jai Hind. We should destroy minimum 10 Porki soldiers in exchange of one Indian martyr. Same like Israel. No human rights, no mediation. Jai Hind. Jai Jawan.

I like to provide constructive criticism to any Indian Government, I also praised UPA government for giving the rights to decide fuel prices to oil companies, I praised them for getting Aadhar card and many more good decision.. At the same time its my duty and right to raise my voice against the government when they go wrong irrespective of which party they belong to..

If Modi has done something good I have praised him for the same and at the same time I criticized his government on certain things like I did for handling Pakistan issue...

In development of a country, I Feel constructive criticism is necessary. .. Since India follow democratic style of government . All the citizens of India has rights to raise their voice if they feel something is wrong...

I agree with you for all out war with Pakistan and we should stand shoulder to shoulder with Indian Forces.... I will be the first person to raise my hand to help my armed forces for any help during the war, I even don't mind going to war zone to help Indian forces and do my bit to the country which has given me so many things in Life...

    Jai Hind.. Jai Jawan

    Both parties have serious defects..
BJP immature..no experience,. So casual towards common man's plight.
Don't have any idea of its own..
Congress born for corruption lead by colonial slave mentality people.
Communally deciding people to stay in power..appeasement to the highest.
No capable President..Raga useless for anything.
It can give strong g challenge if Anand Sharma takes over as at least Working President.

Mr. Guru, that is called as true patriotism. Our every breath and every drop of our blood belongs to mother India. It is every son's duty and responsibility to protect mother and is a pleasure to be a martyr if necessary. Our brave soldiers have to be respected and treated above politicians. My blood boils when I read the news of killing of our brave soldiers. I always advocate peace. However, when the dogs come and bite us, we can not and should not try for peace, but, break every bone of the dogs. Our India is our life. Jai Hind.

56 inch was in 2014. Now that must have increased to 59 to 60 inches. Only taking care of himself and fooling the voters. His followers are one more spineless. Forget about doing anything else, BJP made laws for beef eating. WHY THEY NOT PUT BAN ON BEEF EXPORT? Further they are calling cow as GOMATHA. Big joke of BJP (Bharatiya Jokers Party).
