Mangalore: Muslim Leaders Condemn RSS' Verbal Attack on Madrasas

Mangalore, Apr 1: Secularism is the breath of Islam. Islam is not a manufacturing unit of terrorists, said Al Haj K S M Masood, president of Central Muslim Committee, DK and Udupi districts at the office of deputy commissioner here on Monday March 31.
 
He was addressing the gathering at a public meeting organized by Muslim Central Committee condemning the derogatory remarks against madrasas (Islamic seminaries).

Condemning the verbal attack on madrasas by some leaders of BJP MLAs and leaders of Sangha Parivar, the president added that madrasas are not centers where one embraces terrorism, rather here students learn to pray for peace and harmony. Madrasas are centers of worship and not camps of terrorism as it is billed by those 'leaders,' he said. 
 
Islam never supports the concept of terrorism; instead it teaches one to love one's country and people irrespective of religions. 

Requesting police not to have suspicious attitude towards the Muslims, but continue to curb the operations against terrorism, he added that the entire community must not be doubted and dubbed as a community of terrorists just because of a handful of misled individuals who carry out dark deeds. He also requested the police to continue their operations against terrorism.

    We would also promote holding healthy debates, dialogs, and seminars with leaders of other faith on regular basis in order to remove the misconceptions of ISLAM and create the right environment for Inter-Faith Harmony, yet, holding fast to the true commandment of ISLAM.

    Very good article......Only the name of the president of Central committee is K.S.M Masood and not K.M.S Masood as mentioned.Also what you failed to mention was that he was the Ex-MLC,Chief Whip of the Legislative Council and also the last Chaiman of the Karnataka State Minorities Commission....... A detail of such articles is actually very rare ..... hence once in a way when we come across articles we wld prefer details.Any way we wld need a lot more such protests for our voices to be heard.....Kudos to all who participated......

    assalam alikum. i am very happy to read this news that our muslim leaders condemn against the rss . usually KFD is fighting against rss. but it's happy to read that along with KFD there are many others there to raise voice against RSS. Assalam alikum

    Now days it’s become a fashion statement for some radical outfits saying against Muslim & Islam, it’s only because lack of knowledge about Islam, they need to know about this religion before say something because they represent particular people and party. Its not that they will get votes it’s because they want to be in news always. I think best way to avoid this Muslim should ignore this kind of people and issues.

    The sangh parivar is a threat to the unity and integrity of India.Accusing Madrassas of being anti nationals could be compared to a pot calling the kettle black.
