Mangalore, Apr 12: The month of April is known to be synonymous to examinations . College students become busy preparing for exams . Tension would be the common mania which harms students more than it helps. But it was a different environment at the Karavali College of Fashion Designing located close to the National Highway in Kottara,.
Students here were busy preparing to exhibit their talents through a fashion show on 12 April ,Saturday evening. Established in 1996 , the College has been offering courses to students hailing from various parts of India and foreign countries too. Hence it is easier for these students to successfully present fashion shows with varied cultures.
The show began with a tradition dress show. Various Indian cultures and dress codes were depicted. Creative minds and young talent blended together to give a powerful message of unity in diversity, the socio-economical philosophy of India.
The multi-ethnic, multi-lingual and multi-religious society in India were beautifully pictured in the form of a traditional show involving the bride and bridegrooms from various parts of India and Sri Lanka.
The creativity round opened the path for students to present their talents on the ramp. Young designers inspired by different concepts exhibited their talent, some of them beyond imagination. Very simple concepts like chess play, peacock, cardamom, insects, dry fruits, colours, jute, bronze, gold etc were some of the themes used in modeling.
A total of 83 students worked hard to put together a splendid show that combined the art of designing dresses, colour combinations and the efficient implementation of the concepts . It was a short respite for the students from the tension of the upcoming exams. Ganesh Rao, founder chairman of Karavali Group of Colleges, welcomed the gathering.
