Mangaluru, Jul 14: Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math, who is also the honorary president of Hindu Rakshana Samiti, on Friday July 14 claimed that he has 'exclusive' clue to RSS worker Sharath Madivala murder case, and that he would reveal it if the National Investigation Agency (NIA) were to probe the case. He also demanded the setting up of NIA office in Mangaluru.
Addressing a press meet here, the Swamiji said, "I have exclusive clue regarding Sharath Madivala murder case. If the NIA takes over the investigation of the case, I am ready to reveal it to them.
"We Hindus are peace lovers. We never want riots in Dakshina Kannada or any corner of Karnataka on the basis of religion. But the state government is provoking us to riots. Now the government has booked some of our leaders in false cases, especially in the name of participation in the funeral procession of Sharath Madivala. Cases under sections 307 and 309 cases have been logded on our leaders. Even I participated in the procession, I was a witness and I say that nothing happened in that procession to merit section 307.
"Hired goondas pelted stones on the procession but the police and the government are not trying to arrest them. It is condemnable. We can never expect justice from this government. Hence we demand NIA investigation into the entire issue," the Swamiji said.
"All of us know the existence of ISIS in Kerala and Bhatkal. It is from there that the attacks on Hindus are planned. So we need to establish an NIA office in Mangaluru as soon as possible. We will meet the state governor soon and put forth these demands," he said.
He also said that the fact that Section 144 has been imposed throughout the district despite trouble occuring only in Bantwal and Ullal shows the 'irresponsibility' of the district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai and food and civil supplies minister U T Khader, and their failure in handling the situation in their own constituencies.
