Mangaluru, Aug 3: Former president and scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s second death anniversary was observed at St Agnes College (Autonomous) here on July 27.
A programme was held in association with Global TV. Dr C P Habib, Unity Health Care; Ananthakrishna, former chairman of Karnataka Bank Ltd; Dr Shantharam Shetty, orthopaedic surgeon and pro-vice chancellor of Nitte University; Myanmar 2017 Pyae Phoo Mon, and Tejaswini Sharma, model, South Asia were the guests of honour. They shared their views on Abdul Kalam’s ‘India Vision 2020’.

Dr C P Habib shared his memories during his interaction with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. P A Jose, former general manager, ONGC, MRPL, presented a PPT on Kalam’s thoughts.
To inculcate Kalam’s vision among students, the guests handed over the scroll of Kalam Campaign to the principal and students symbolically.
A peace prayer for India composed Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was tuned and sung by St Agnes students.
