Mangaluru: Independence Day celebrated at St Aloysius Gonzaga School

Mangaluru, Aug 16: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated the 71st Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm on Tuesday, August 15.

Nikesh Shetty, advocate and chairperson of DK District and Child Welfare Committee and Grace Noronha, principal academic advisor were the chief guests.

The chief guest addressed the gathering emphasizing on the safety of children. The students took a pledge as the principal urged the students to pledge their allegiance to protect mother India against corruption, terrorism, poverty and casteism.

The students sang and danced based on the patriotic theme, ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’. Winners of various competitions that were conducted in connection with the Independence Day were felicitated by the dignitaries.
