Mumbai, Jun 30: A ‘Konkani Sahamilan’, organized by the Konkani sabha of the city was held at the auditorium of Hotel Bansuri, in Mulund (East), on Sunday, June 29.

Speaking on the occasion, Gilbert Baptist, chairman and managing director of Malaika Group of Concerns, said the locality had an abundance of like-minded people who speak their mother tongue. This in turn can help them carve a niche for themselves and keep them united. Mother tongue plays a key role in shaping the personality of an individual and success can be achieved by focusing on it. Hence, Konkani brethren should commit themselves to social service through linguist organizations, he urged the gathering.
