Building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is a matter of pride: RSS

Kolkata, Jan 26 (PTI): Senior RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi today said the issue of construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is not a fight against Islam but an issue of pride, self respect and "destroying the symbol of torture and slavery".

"Is there a dearth of Ram temples in our country? The answer is no. The issue of construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is not just a simple matter of construction of a temple, or a piece of land. It is matter of our pride, self respect and destroying the symbol of slavery," Joshi said while addressing a programme here.

"This is not a fight against Islam. This is matter of nationalism," he added.

Joshi said that when lakhs of 'Kar Sevaks' from various parts of the country moved towards Ayodha, not a single stone was thrown towards any Islamic religious sites that came in the way.

"This is India. This is Hindu samaj," he said.

Joshi said small nations which are facing oppresion in the hands of big nations are looking up to India to show them the way.

"We want to tell the small nations of this world that they should move forward with pride, self respect and protect their sovereignty. Those small nations are looking up to India to lead them against their fight against oppression," he said.

The RSS leader said it is really nice to see the emergence of a strong India which can lead others is coming up.

    Is Ayodhya is matter of pride for Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh after more than 5,000 Indians deaths and more than Rs 10,000 crores of losses to public and private properties?
    If Building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Let BJP and RSS answer to the nation which 'Hindu' king built the temple 'Ram Mandir' on the exact sport of the dispute and which year?
    Why the Awadh King need to build Hindu temple when the entire wester belt of Uttar Pradesh is under their ruling?
    Why only Ram Mandir is pride for RSS, when more than 1000 temples across India back to the era of 'Cholas' are in the dilapidated condition of crumbling to the ground?
    Before Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism are dominant religion of India far beyond the Mughals and British invaded India. Why Babri Masjid was not dispute then? How does Jainism and Buddhism became minorities of India?
    Lastly, What happened to those 'bricks' and money collected in past have gone?

    It was a political promise of Modi, thus must be fulfilled.

    The shining stars are like Kalyan Singh-Uma Bharti-Advani-Ram Monohar Joshi. One is a Governor, Uma Bharati is an outcast of the party, Advani and Manohar Jopshi are lamenting for the bloodshed created. I have seen some pictures in which Modi and Amith Shaw also were in the Radha Yatra.

    How many died among the Hindus and Muslims? How many widows and orphans? How terribly butchering human life for the political business of some cold-hearted people?

    Build a such building which attracts crores of tourist to Ayodhya and creates lakhs of Employment to Ayodha People irrespective religion. Time to look at this issue as economically benefit to the general public.

    To Make a Temple you need Blessings and you don't have it. By the funds that you spent all these years You could have built such 100 temple all over India in every state and could have made us proud.
    The moment Lal Krishna Advani started the Yatra ,the intention was political and agenda was Hindutva.
    Now since 1992,how much tax payers money wasted on police and court cases. You think Ram will bless you?

    From 2014 u r saying mandir wahi banayege...three years are over...who is stopping you?? "mandir wahi banayege" is the power full sentence for BJP to gain attraction of Hindus and turn them against minorities and disrupt the peace.... Stopping fooling around and start building....in central and UP bjp is ruling then what is the problem?

    Check your facts Joshi. Never seen a blind with an eye like you. Did you not see the violence which took place across India? Did you not see thousands lost their lives? Did you not see hundreds were raped? Did you not see how many belongings and properties were vandalised? Did you not see how communal our India emerged after that unfateful day? Did you not hear the cries of innocent ? Did you not witness the injustice meted to many. Because of your clans act today entire India is burning with communal poison.
