Her husband also died in the road accident

Dubai, Feb 7: A woman from Ballari who was fighting for her life after a ghastly vehicle accident in Dubai, died while being shifted to Bengaluru for treatment by an air ambulance on Monday February 5.

Neetu Jain Kawad (38) and husband Dinesh Kawad (40) had gone on a leisure trip to Dubai, leaving their 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter in India with their grandparents. Hailing from Rajasthan, the Kawad family had settled in Ballari, running garment business with their firm Lokseva Dresses.

On January 22 afternoon, they were heading for a desert safari when the minibus in which they were travelling along with other tourists collided with a truck near AI Aweer on Emirates Road.

Dinesh Kawad, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, and the Pakistani driver, 23, were killed on the spot.

An Italian tourist’s wife, who was said to be three-month pregnant, reportedly succumbed to her injuries later, while a Chinese couple and the Italian man survived with minor injuries.

Neetu had suffered critical injuries and fallen into a coma before she was rushed to Rashid Hospital.

The relatives who took Dinesh’s body to India to perform funeral rites, came back to shift Neetu to a Bengaluru hospital for treatment. However, she died on the air ambulance.

Praveen Shetty, others, help family

Help poured in from all corners. Fortune Group of Hotels proprietor Praveen Shetty helped the grieving family by arranging free accommodation. Rajasthan Business and Professional Group (RBPG) General Secretary Rakesh Bohara helped the family with the necessary paper works with the support of the Indian Consulate and Dubai Police. Rayna Tours paid Neetu’s hospital expenses.

The Kawad couple had recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with all grandeur in Goa.

All debits to the Drivers of such desert safari's who drive as if there are no other commuters on the road. Such reckless driving has resulted for the untimely death of the couples.
May strength and courage pour to the young kids.

Dear Readers, Please note the drivers age was 23 and Pakistan nationality. I have seen these drivers are driving recklessly and most of drivers do not have road sense, mean they do not have experience in driving senseability , Therefore please note if any drivers are less than age 25-30 for this kind of tour please avoid travel with these kind of drivers. I hope Government will look into this matter strictly.

Please don't play nationality card and insult a country that accommodates all nationalities with equal respect and gives them employment. The driver may not driven the way he did, thinking he is driving enemies. He is doing his duty so that he gets salary to send home to raise his children. If not this couple, anybody on that fateful on that vehicle would have died because its an accident, not a revenge.

Death comes to us without informing. Even me or you can't know when/how we will die.

    Very sad.

I agree with Jenifer. Most of the Mini Bus, and school Bus drivers are from Pakistan. They are neither bothered the welfare of the passengers nor courteous . They just want to finish the trip of the day.

Jenifer, Mangalore.....for me Anand Kumar, Mangalore/Dubai have valid point in his Comment .......i am supporting his comment because that is what STATISTICS shows from Local Government analysis ...a general Opinion here.......Certain nationality (Which he mentioned )thinks that DRIVING LICENSE is Educational DEGREE, and after receiving it they Own the Road......one that fateful day i was told by a eyewitness the driver wanted to overtake Blindly towards right and hit a Big container (Truck)..AN ACCIDENT WITH NEGLIGENCE ......R.I.P

@Anand kumar ,MAngalore,/Dubai,I wish you sympathise with the dead driver, but not Nationality.Poor fellow was doing his duty. Some of them might drive recklessly.we dont know who was to blame. Not only paks but others too are not better. So dont always give fault to them.He too is one of the dead.Shocked to hear the accident of both parents leaving back small children.I found it was very negligent to badly inured lady to transport in Air ambulance.should have waited for some time to get her health better.Naturally in air due to change of pressure, health deteriorate more. But Gods wish,we cant go against.May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to the family, specially small kids .
