Mangaluru: SIT’s techno-cultural fest ‘Envision’ comes to grand close

Mangaluru, Mar 2: Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mijar won the overall champions in the cultural events and St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor won the overall champions in the technical events during the national level techno-cultural fest ‘Envision 2018’ organised by the Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil.

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar and Srinivas School of Engineering Mukka won the first runners-up awards in the cultural and technical events respectively.

There were a total of 28 technical events and 18 cultural events organised as part of the two-day techno-cultural fest ‘Envision 2018’. A total of 650 students from 16 engineering colleges took part in the event.



Vidyaranya Kollipal, senior manager-HR Mpahsis, Bengaluru inaugurated the event which was presided over by the CA A Raghavendra Rao, president, A Shama Rao Foundation and chancellor of Srinivas University. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University and vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation was the guest of honor.

Dr ShrinivasaMayya D, principal of the college, congratulated the winners and the students who actively coordinated event. Prof Jayaram Thumbe from the department of Mechanical Engineering had convened ‘Envision 2018’.
