Udupi, Apr 13: Former DySP and current general secretary of Bharatiya Janashakti Congress (BJC) party Anupama Shenoy on Friday April 13 hit out at the state government and said that her party which was launched in February this year will work towards eliminating corruption and building a society free of fear.

Addressing a press meet here, Anupama said she was set to contest from Kaup constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections. "The Central Election Commission has approved 'lady's finger' as our party symbol on a temporary basis. I am contesting from my hometown Kaup constituency."

Targetting the state government, she said, "I resigned from my post of DySP because as a woman official, I was persecuted by the ruling party. Instead of examining the reason for my resignation, the government found an easy way out by accepting my resignation.

"Lord Sri Krishna has given me strength to overcome the obstacles and strengthened my mind," she added.

"BJC's aim is to work towards communal harmony, peace, eliminate corruption and build a society free of fear. Our approach will be pro-women and pro-sustainable development," Shenoy said.

She also said that her party has announced 15 candidates in the first list. They are Abhishek from Kanakapur, Harish Narayan Gandhi from Chamarajapete, Ashwini Desai from Beelagi, Durgesh Meghalamani from Haveri, Lakshmi Ramayya Shetty from K R Pura, Praveen Kumar from Chamundeshwari, Rakesh Theli from Bijapur, Saifulla from Vijayanagara, Vasim Ahamad from Byatarayanapur, Mallikarjun Chauhan from Badami, Shyamsundar Kulakarni from Chitradurga, Raghavendra from C V Raman nagar, Basavaraj Nalavadada from Hunagunda, Sharanappa Bheemasha Zalake from Alanda and Venkatesh Uppar from Raichur.

"This time, candidates from our party will be contesting from more than 30 constituencies," she added.

"Those who are willing to contest elections from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru, may contact me on my number 9480812985 and 9448394978. But the candidates should have fighting spirit and should not have any criminal background," she informed.

"I was upset when Kaup MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake was sacked by the state government during the cabinet reshuffle, even though he had done nothing wrong. But K J George who had allegations against him was given another chance. Nevertheless, as MLA of Kaup, Sorake has not done much for its development," she said.

She also said that she has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking CBI inquiry into three cases concerning the state, including one about Jog Falls, for which she received a positive response from the PM.

She also said that she would pursue the Hublot watch case of CM Siddaramaiah and go ahead with proper evidence against him and the doctor who gifted it to him.

Highly appreciate you for your qualifications, knowledge and the experience you have to tackle not only corruption but the Welfare not only of one particular community but to all.

    However,

How many will support you and for how long?

Do you think these existing Parties will let you succeed?

Poverty and lack of education is what makes the faithful poor man a victim to elections. Such inocent voters are paid in one hand and on the other are made to take a vow that they would be voting for a particular Party. Initially it was voters who could not even survive in buying more than salt for their daily meals were trapped. But these days it has been a custom. Even spectators for Political gatherings demand money for their presence.

Its better to open up better educational facilities for all ages in villages so as to eradicate corruption. Many of these poor people are very humble and faithful. Daily bread with education and medical facilities in such areas will definitely eradicate corruption.

BPL, Subsidies, Canteens or any Bagya's in the City limits should be stopped and all these funds should be made available to the villages and not in cash but in return thru education, investment/tax/ subsidy and medical schemes managed by highly qualified IPS/IAS/IFS/ CA/Military Or such experienced proffessionals
