Moodbidri: ‘Red Dots Express’ Rally held to Popularize Blood Donation

Moodbidri, Oct 4: Chaithanya Foundation organized a blood donation campaign in Siddakatte, in association with ICYM Siddakatte and Moodbidri Varado, on Thursday October 2.

Ratankumar Chowta, local taluk panchayat member, inaugurated the information centre on the occasion. Meanwhile, Prabhachandra Jain released the blood donation stickers and Reena, MSW student of St Aloysius College, released the brochures.

T Sharathkumar, NSS officer of the government first grade college of Vamadapadav Inaugurated the Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association.

Later, the Chaitanya Ratha took out a procession on the roads of Siddakatte, which was flagged-off by local entrepreneur Sanjeev Shetty.

Naizil Noronha, president of Chaithanya Foundation, welcomed the gathering. Praveen Crasta proposed vote of thanks. Prakash Siddakatte compered the programme.

Red Dots Express:

In the afternoon, a bike rally titled 'Red Dots Express,' was organized, between Siddakatte and Moodbidri, to create awareness about blood donation.

Hundreds of youngsters participated in the bike rally on the occasion. Sudarshan Jain, former Bantwal taluk panchayat member, inaugurated this rally.

MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Bhoja Kotian, president of Moodbidri town panchayat, coordinators Roshan D’Sa and Sunil Sequeira, Mevin, president of ICYM Moodbidri Varado and Fr Asissi Rebello, director of ICYM Moodbidri Varado were present on the occasion.
