Mangalore, Oct 8: MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik has congratulated the policemen of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts for actively launching operations and successfully tracing the activities of terrorists in the twin districts within a short time.
"The people in general, have a responsibility to extend their support to check the growing incidents of terrorist activities. Everybody should make themselves doubly sure through identification cards/letters and such other documents before absorbing strangers on employment. Even when giving houses on rent to unknown people, this practice should be followed, he said.
He has requested the people to keep contact with the police department and inform them immediately when some suspicious incidents or movements are observed by them.
