Mangaluru: Countdown begins for ‘Gandharva Gaana’, tribute to Yesudas on Aug 4

Mangaluru, Aug 3: The countdown has begun for much-awaited musical event, 'Gandharva Gaana', a tribute to the living legend Padma Shree Dr K J Yesudas which will be held on Saturday, August 4 at Don Bosco Hall at 5.30 pm.

The singers and musicians have already arrived in city and they will have a rehearsal.

In a press meet held here on Friday, August 3, playback singer Ajay Warrier said “We are thrilled to perform in front of the audience of Mangaluru. The event is a tribute to the living legend Dr Yesudas. It is a concept like ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, a tribute to Hindi legends. The musical show only has the songs sung by Dr Yesudas,”

“Yesudas has crores of fans spread all over the world. Our intention is pay a musical tribute to him and entertain the fans of Mangaluru. There is no doubt the all songs sung by Yesudas are super hits. From those, we are picking a few and performing in Mangaluru. Bhandary Builders are our co organizers,” he informed.

The event is jointly organized by Bhandary Builders and Surabhi Sounds and Lightings Mangaluru. Managing director of Bhandary Builders Lakshmish Bhandary, proprietor of Ideal Ice Creams Mukund Kamath, president of KSKO Mangaluru Jagadish Shetty and managing director of Daijiworld Television Alex Castelino will be the chief guests. Entry is free for all,” he said.

Lakshmish Bhandary, Damodar Bhagavath of Surabhi Sounds, Alex Castelino and Venu Sharma were present.
