Mangalore: Cause Foundation Brings ‘All Shook Up’ to Town Hall on Oct 25

Mangalore, Oct 20: The Cause Foundation is performing the hilarious musical comedy ‘All Shook Up’, inspired by the songs of Elvis Presley, at the Town Hall on Saturday October 25 at 6.30 pm. The musical contains foot tapping music, vibrant dances and costumes, with a cast of 35 volunteers.

Cause Foundation is a non-profit organization which has for the past 11 years been promoting local talent through its musical productions, with all profits from these ventures going to worthy local charities. Over the years, the foundation has staged many Broadway musical hits including ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘Grease’ among others to full houses in Bangalore, Mangalore, and Coorg.

‘All Shook Up’ is the story of a young leather-jacketed stranger who through the power and magic of music integrates the citizens of an otherwise class conscious town and makes them recognize the unjustness of segregation.
 
Leila Alvares is the director with Neville De Nazareth, Anaitha Nair, Jude Lazaro, Arvind Kasthuri, Prem Koshy, in the prime roles. The music director is Gaurav Vas and Lucien Charanghat, Lionel De Nazareth, Anaitha Nair, Kanika Batra, and Pravin Roberts, are the choreographers.  Sound and light is by Reynolds and costumes are from Asha Fernandes of Elan

Tickets are Rs 500 (donor passes) 250, 150, and 100, available from Saturday October 18 onwards at Jimmy’s Supermarket (Falnir Road), Dinoos Fast Food, and Alvares Center (Nanthoor) Ph: 6553153.
