Beltangady, Aug 11: A breakthrough has been made in the probe into the alleged illegal burial of multiple bodies in Dharmasthala village as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) deployed a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) machine on August 11 at 2:45 pm to scan the 13th suspected site.

Following a tip-off and detailed witness testimony, the SIT collaborated with GPR experts to begin a meticulous underground survey at a location near the Netravati bathing ghat, flagged as a potential burial ground by the complainant.

The GPR device, capable of detecting buried anomalies without disturbing the soil, was transported to the site after thorough preparations. The operation marks a crucial step in gathering forensic evidence to either confirm or refute the allegations.

This high-tech investigation reflects the police’s commitment to exhaustively probing all leads in the case, underscoring the serious nature of the allegations and the quest for truth.
